PeBL is what inspires my everyday instruction. I value planning experiences that the students will benefit from, as well as encouraging voice and choice so they may share the learning that best suits them.
Technology, experiential activities and inquiry drive instruction in my classroom. I use Project Based Learning for opportunities to reach cross-curricular outcomes and deepen student engagement.
When planning opportunities for students I believe it is important to encourage student choice. When we create rubrics for our summative assessments the students and I are creating the criteria together. I feel that creating the criteria together helps student understanding and establishes transfer of responsibility.
